Hawaii Volcanoes National Park will have at least two dates of flight use in December.

On Monday between 8 and 10 a.m., there will be flights for fountain grass surveys and control work between the end of Hilina Pali Road and Puu Kukalauula.

Another series is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The flights willl move equipment and camp supplies for the anchialine pool monitoring and honuea (Hawaiian hawksbill turtle) projects between Holei flats on Chain of Craters Road and Apua, Keauhou and Halape.

“The park regrets any noise impact to residents and park visitors. Dates and times are subject to change based on aircraft availability and weather,” the release said.
